The event is co-presented by NYU's Glucksman Ireland House, The Irish Film Board and funded by Culture Ireland’s Imagine Ireland Program.

Knuckle Clinches “Best Film” Title

Knuckle, Irish Film New York’s Opening Night Film received the “Best Film” award. The documentary had its New York Premiere on Friday evening. The sold-out screening brought out the who’s who of Irish boxing royalty.

(New York Premiere) Knuckle takes us inside the secretive and exhilarating bare-knuckle-fighting world. An epic 12-year journey into the world of the Irish Traveller community, the documentary is being turned into a HBO dramatic series. Director Ian Palmer and subject, bare-knuckle fighter James Quinn McDonnagh, will attend the Q&A.
